Aflac NI turns 5!

As we celebrated five years since the launch of Aflac Northern Ireland, we were honoured to be joined by several senior Aflac U.S. executives to help mark the occasion!

The fifth anniversary was significant in our history, and we made sure our visitors had a trip befitting the occasion. The team visited Belfast City Hall and met with the Lord Mayor, followed by a meeting at Queen's University Belfast.

Afterward, the visitors rejoined the rest of the team to celebrate in our amazing office with popcorn machines, games, mario kart, and bingo! We also had a very special surprise – the Aflac Duck even joined in on the festivities! The day was rounded off with speeches and drinks reception at the Merchant Hotel, including a visit from the Minister for Economy Conor Murphy who spoke to the team and commented on the critical role Aflac has played in supporting the local economy and job creation. And yes — there was cake, duck themed of course!

As we celebrate this five-year milestone, we are reminded of how far we’ve come and are excited for the future. Our MD Mark McCormack said: “From our startup in 2019, Aflac Northern Ireland has quickly become a focal point for technology innovation, and we are committed to continuing our growth, supporting our local communities, and contributing to the global success of Aflac.”

Though we may be separated ‘across the pond,’ we play a strategic and imperative role in the success of Aflac. And whilst for now we are only celebrating half a decade supporting the business, we know there will be many more to come.

Thank you to everyone for your hard work and dedication in making these achievements possible.
